Current Openings Include:
Health Coordinator

The Health Coordinator is responsible for applying professional expertise related to comprehensive health services. This position will carry out all health care and screening related services for children enrolled in the Head Start and Early Head Start program in accordance with the Head Start Performance Standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensures health referrals are being addressed.
  • Creates and maintain collaborations with community agencies and healthcare providers.
  • Trains all staff on how to monitor, consult, and provide daily oversight of health needs and services.

This is a full time exempt, 10 month position.

Minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • A Bachelors degree in Health Related field or equivalent
  • 1 year experience in a supervisory role
  • 2 years of relevant experience
  • Pennsylvania Nursing License required
Itinerant Teacher

The Itinerant Teacher works collaboratively with the classroom staff in an Early Childhood environment. Responsible for assisting the lead teacher with the classroom child interactions to implement a program of activities that promotes the social, emotional, and physical development of each child enrolled in the group in accordance with early childhood program standards.

This is a full time non-exempt, part year position with competitive salary.

Daily location may vary.

Qualifications for this position are:

  • CDA(Childhood Development Associate certification) or AA degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or related field preferred.

Assistant Teacher (Full-time and Part-time available)

This position works collaboratively with the classroom staff in an Early Childhood environment. Responsible for assisting the lead teacher with the classroom child interactions to implement a program of activities that promotes the social, emotional, and physical development of each child enrolled in the group in accordance with early childhood program standards.

This position is part-time, non-exempt, 5 hours a day (25 hours per week)

10-month position with a competitive salary.

Qualifications for this position are:

  • High School Diploma with a CDA(Childhood Development Associate certification); AA degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Lead Program Coordinator

The Lead Program Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Early Head Start/Head Start Program Director in assuring all the Head Start program mandates and standards for excellence are met on a daily basis.

Maintain high-quality early childhood environments with attention to safety and health prevention measures; curriculum and assessment strategies focused on school readiness; and strength-based family engagement as the child’s first teacher. Provide program management: coach, mentor, and train all classroom staff in planning for individual children’s readiness for kindergarten; coach, mentor, and train Health Coordinator to ensure overall child well-being; coach, mentor, and train ERSEA Specialist to maintain accurate data and full enrollment.

This is a full-time exempt, full-year position with a competitive salary.

Qualifications for this position are:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a closely related field is required.
  • Five years progressively responsible professional experience which demonstrates significant supervisory and administrative responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of theories and practices of Early Childhood Education/Development typically gained via experience and or education.
  • Experience in design and delivery of training.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license/proof of auto insurance/required.
Classroom Support Staff

This position acts as a member of the classroom teaching team in the implementation and creation of lesson plans. Supports home visits, parent-teacher conferences, and parent meetings as needed. Participate in observing children and assist in the completion of screenings and assessments. Provide a safe and healthy environment for preschoolers and their families.

This is a full-time non-exempt, part-year position with a competitive salary.

Minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • 1 year experience with children and families
