Early Head Start Classroom Support Staff

The Classroom Support Staff acts as a member of the classroom teaching team in implementation and creation of lesson plans. Supports home visits, parent teacher conferences and parent meetings as needed. Participate in observing children and assist in completion of screenings and assessments. Provide a safe and healthy environment for toddlers and their families.

This is a part time non-exempt, full year position with competitive salary.

Hours per day: 6

Hours per week: 30

Minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • 1 year experience with children and families

Pay: $10.42 – $13.91 per hour

Pre-K Counts Lead Teacher

We are looking for a Pre-K Counts Lead Teacher who has a passion for growing hearts and minds of children and families in Franklin County.

When you join our team as a Lead Teacher you will:

  • Implement a high quality early childhood curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child.
  • Lead, coach and mentor new teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
  • Partner with early childhood professionals and leadership to achieve goals around accreditation and engagement.

This is a full time exempt, 10 month position with competitive salary.

Minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • A Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field (ECE credits completed) and a current PA Teaching Certification in PK-4
  • 1 year experience working with preschool age children.


Health Coordinator

The Health Coordinator is responsible for applying professional expertise related to comprehensive health services. This position will carry out all health care and screening related services for children enrolled in the Head Start and Early Head Start program in accordance with the Head Start Performance Standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensures health referrals are being addressed.
  • Creates and maintain collaborations with community agencies and healthcare providers.
  • Trains all staff on how to monitor, consult, and provide daily oversight of health needs and services.

This is a full time exempt, 10 month position.

Minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • A Bachelors degree in Health Related field or equivalent
  • 1 year experience in a supervisory role
  • 2 years of relevant experience
  • Pennsylvania Nursing License required
Itinerant Teacher

The Itinerant Teacher works collaboratively with the classroom staff in an Early Childhood environment. Responsible for assisting the lead teacher with the classroom child interactions to implement a program of activities that promotes the social, emotional, and physical development of each child enrolled in the group in accordance with early childhood program standards.

This is a full time non-exempt, part year position with competitive salary.

Daily location may vary.

Qualifications for this position are:

  • CDA(Childhood Development Associate certification) or AA degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or related field preferred.
