Health Coordinator

The Health Coordinator is responsible for applying professional expertise related to comprehensive health services. This position will carry out all health care and screening related services for children enrolled in the Head Start and Early Head Start program in accordance with the Head Start Performance Standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensures health referrals are being addressed.
  • Creates and maintain collaborations with community agencies and healthcare providers.
  • Trains all staff on how to monitor, consult, and provide daily oversight of health needs and services.

This is a full time exempt, 10 month position.

Minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • A Bachelors degree in Health Related field or equivalent
  • 1 year experience in a supervisory role
  • 2 years of relevant experience
  • Pennsylvania Nursing License required
Itinerant Teacher

The Itinerant Teacher works collaboratively with the classroom staff in an Early Childhood environment. Responsible for assisting the lead teacher with the classroom child interactions to implement a program of activities that promotes the social, emotional, and physical development of each child enrolled in the group in accordance with early childhood program standards.

This is a full time non-exempt, part year position with competitive salary.

Daily location may vary.

Minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • CDA(Childhood Development Associate certification) or AA degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or related field preferred.
  • 1 year experience
Assistant Teacher (Full-time and Part-time available)

This position works collaboratively with the classroom staff in an Early Childhood environment. Responsible for assisting the lead teacher with the classroom child interactions to implement a program of activities that promotes the social, emotional, and physical development of each child enrolled in the group in accordance with early childhood program standards.

Part-time, non-exempt, 5 hours a day (25 hours per week)

Full-time, non-exempt, 8 hours a day (40 hours per week)

10-month position with a competitive salary.

Minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • High School Diploma with a CDA(Childhood Development Associate certification); AA degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Classroom Support Staff (Full-time and Part-time available)

This position acts as a member of the classroom teaching team in the implementation and creation of lesson plans. Supports home visits, parent-teacher conferences, and parent meetings as needed. Participate in observing children and assist in the completion of screenings and assessments. Provide a safe and healthy environment for preschoolers and their families.

Full-time non-exempt, part-year position with a competitive salary (40 hours a week)

Part-time non-exempt, part-year position with a competitive salary (20-25 hours a week)

Minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • 1 year experience with children and families
Lead Teacher

A Lead Teacher maintains a high quality early childhood classroom environment with attention to health and safety prevention measures; curriculum and assessment strategies focused on school readiness; and strength-based family engagement that promotes parents as the child’s first teacher. Work collaboratively with other classroom staff to develop and implement daily plans for children’s school readiness that involves culturally responsive, integrated service delivery of child development, disabilities, and mental health that supports learning environments to: a) enhance children’s cognitive, social, and emotional development and b) promote children’s growth in language, literacy, mathematics, science, social and emotional development, creative arts, physical development, and approaches to learning.

This is a full time exempt, 10 month position with competitive salary.

Minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • A Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE)
  • 2 years experience working with preschool age children.

 

Pre-K Counts Lead Teacher

A Pre-K Counts Teacher is preschool-4th grade certified. He or she works with one of five Franklin County school districts, teaching up to 20 pre-school aged children through a developmentally appropriate curriculum, screening and assessment system.

This is a full time exempt, 10 month position with competitive salary.

Positions available in Waynesboro and Greencastle areas.

Minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • A Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field (ECE credits completed) and a current PA Teaching Certification in PK-4 or N-3
  • 1 year experience working with preschool age children.
Early Head Start Home Visitor

The Home Visitor position builds relationships with families through in-home educational services. Encourages families as their child’s first and forever teacher. Assists in creating learning experiences for children to build school readiness skills based on screening and assessment data. Utilizes home visiting curriculum to guide work with families.

Minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • Infant/Toddler Home Visiting (CDA) or degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Human Development, and Family Studies or closely related field
  • Knowledge of child and/or human development.

 

Communications Specialist- Bilingual

The Communications Specialist will be responsible for greeting visitors and delivering exceptional customer service assistance. This entails answering calls and emails and fielding them accordingly, addressing visitor questions and needs, and providing an overall welcoming environment. This position will also be responsible for assisting the Communications Team with information output, social media/website, and advertising efforts.

Minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • Associates degree in Communications, Business Administration, Family Services or related field
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
