Early Head Start Education Coordinator

Maintain high quality early childhood environment for Infants and Toddlers with attention to the following:

  • Safe and healthy learning environments
  • Strength-based family engagement as the child’s first teacher.
  • Curriculum and assessment strategies

Provide general program management:

  • Coach, mentor, and train all classroom staff in guiding developmentally appropriate experiences for individual children
  • Provide recruitment/ enrollment services to the coming into the facility.

Qualifications for this position are:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or a closely related field with Infant/Toddler specific coursework
  • Three years progressively responsible professional experience which demonstrates significant supervisory and administrative responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of theories and practices of Early Childhood Education/Development typically gained via experience and or education.
  • Experience in design and delivery of training.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Home Visitor

Home Visitor

The Home Visitor is responsible for working with individual families of children 0 to 3 years old  and pregnant mothers in their homes. The Home Visitor builds respectful, culturally responsive and trusting relationships with families; recognizing parents/guardians as a child’s first teacher The Home Visitor partners with families to plan and implement learning experiences to promote children’s social emotional, cognitive & physical development.

This is a full time non-exempt, full year position with competitive salary.

Qualifications for this position are:

High School Diploma/ GED and hold a Childhood Development Associate certification in Home Visiting or comparable credential OR equivalent coursework as part of an Associates or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Development and Family Studies or Social Work.

Compensation will be based on education and experience.

1 + years of experience working with children and families

Bilingual Family Advocate

Assist with Recruiting and Enrollment of children. Work with families through home visits to create family goals, provide support, and make referrals. Encourage and empower families to be involved in all aspects of Head Start programming and navigate community resources. Work cooperatively with the teachers as part of the classroom team. Promote school readiness. Attend trainings, meetings, and   community functions. Offer written and spoken translation in English and Spanish.

This is a full time non-exempt, part year position with competitive salary.

Qualifications for this position are:
– Bachelor degree in Human Development/ Family Studies or Social Work or related field.
– Must be able to speak and write fluently Spanish and English language.
– 2 years experience related to care and development of children and families

Pre-K Counts Lead Teacher

We are looking for a Pre-K Counts Lead Teacher who has a passion for growing hearts and minds of children and families in Franklin County.

  • Implement a high quality early childhood curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child.
  • Lead, coach and mentor new teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
  • Partner with early childhood professionals and leadership to achieve goals around accreditation and engagement.

This is a full time exempt, 10 month position with competitive salary.

Minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • A Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field (ECE credits completed) and a current PA Teaching Certification in PK-4 or N-3
  • 1 year experience working with preschool age children.
Assistant Teacher

This position works collaboratively with the classroom staff in an Early Childhood environment. Responsible for assisting the lead teacher with the classroom child interactions to implement a program of activities that promotes the social, emotional, and physical development of each child enrolled in the group in accordance with early childhood program standards.

This is a full time non-exempt, part year position with competitive salary.

Qualifications for this position are:

  • High School Diploma with a CDA(Childhood Development Associate certification); AA degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
Classroom Support Staff

Come be a part of our team. This position provides classroom support in an Early Childhood environment. Responsible for working collaboratively with parents and teachers with the classroom child interactions to implement a program of activities that promotes the social, emotional, and physical development of each child enrolled in the group in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards.

This is a part time (30 hours per week) non-exempt, part year position with competitive salary.

Qualifications for this position are:

  • High School Diploma/ GED
  • Must be able to go through provided training, obtain, and maintain a Childhood Development Associate certification.
  • Able to speak and write fluently Spanish and English language is a plus.
  • 1+ years working with children and families
Head Start Lead Teacher
